River dredging
〘 noun 〙 Scooping out dirt and waste that has accumulated on the bottom of a river. Dredging. Kawazarai. ※Kinryo Ko - Zenshu, Volume 6, Vol. 59, July 1743 (Kanpo 3 ) "A letter has been issued regarding the construction of the Yodo River. (Omitted) The peasants have applied together to the above-mentioned water damage, and (Omitted) it has been decided that if they do not request that the river be dredged or the embankment be built, it will be considered a refusal."
