Genna surname anthology - Genna surname anthology

A clan book compiled by Prime Minister Li Jifu and Taichang scholar Lin Bao during the Genhe era (806-820) of Emperor Xianzong of the Tang Dynasty in China. It has 10 volumes and was published in 812. Starting with the imperial family Li, the surnames are arranged in rhyming order, and the origins of the surnames, lineages, and notable people are listed extensively. It is a valuable resource as a genealogy of officials from the Northern and Southern Dynasties to the middle Tang Dynasties. The New Book of Tang Prime Ministers' Lineage Table is based heavily on this book. The current version is an incomplete one, extracted and restored from the Yongle Encyclopedia, and there has been research by Cen Zhongben and others who added other missing texts.

中国、唐朝憲宗の元和年間（806～820）に、宰相李吉甫(りきつほ)や太常博士林宝らの編纂(へんさん)した氏族書。10巻。812年に成る。皇室李(り)氏を筆頭に、以下韻順に諸姓を配列し、姓の源、系譜、著名人を広く掲げており、南北朝から中唐にかけての官人の系図集として貴重な資料。『新唐書宰相世系表』は本書に多くを依拠している。現行本は『永楽大典』から抽出し復原した不完全なもので、他の逸文を補った岑仲勉(しんちゅうべん)らの研究がある。
