Born: March 9, 1838 in Krakow [Died] August 19/20, 1909, Graz. Austrian sociologist who took a group-centered and social Darwinian stance. He explained the development of society and the process of the formation of the state in terms of struggles within groups. His main works are Rasse und Staat (1875) and Der Rassenkampf (83).
