Japanese: 狗留孫山 - くるそんざん

A mountain on the border between Toyoura-gun Toyokita-cho and Toyota-cho in western Yamaguchi Prefecture. It is 616m above sea level. It is also called Odake, and together with Hana-san (713m) to the southeast, it is part of Toyota Prefectural Natural Park and has been designated as a national scenic spot. The peak is called Misen, and it has been worshipped as a sacred mountain since ancient times. On the southern slope, where the forest is densely covered, is Shuzen-ji Temple, a famous Shingon Buddhist temple with the eleven-faced Kannon as its principal image. In summer, you can hear the cries of sculpins in the mountain stream, and in autumn, the autumn leaves are beautiful. The summit is the westernmost observation deck on Honshu, and offers views of the Hibiki-nada Sea to the west and the Genkai-nada Sea below, as well as the Kyushu mountain range in the distance to the south.

山口県西部，豊浦郡豊北町と豊田町の境界にある山。標高616m。御（お）岳ともいい，南東方の華（げ）山(713m)とともに豊田県立自然公園の一部で，国の名勝に指定されている。頂上を弥山（みせん）と呼び，古くから霊山として信仰の対象となっていた。樹林がうっそうと茂る南側の中腹に十一面観音を本尊とする真言宗の名刹（めいさつ）修禅寺があり，夏は渓流にカジカの声を聞き，秋は紅葉が美しい。山頂は本州最西端の展望台として，西方は響灘から玄界灘を眼下に，南方に遠く九州の連山が眺望できる。
