Lausitz

The name Lausitz originated in the mid-19th century when the German R. Virchow adopted the place name as the type name of pottery excavated from a cemetery in the Lower Lausitz region. …前13世紀から前4世紀にかけて，現ポーランド領からチェコスロバキア領の北部を中心に分布していた，青銅器時代中期から鉄器時代初めにあたる文化。ラウジッツLausitzの名称は，19世紀中ごろにドイツのR.フィルヒョーが低ラウジッツNider‐Lausitz地方の墓地遺跡出土の土器の型式名としてその地名を採用したことに始まる。この文化を残した人たちは，麦類や豆類の耕作と各種家畜飼養を生業とし，青銅製の斧，鎌，剣，装身具，さらに容器類などを製作使用していたが，前7～前6世紀ころから鉄器の製作使用が普及する。…
