Also written as jishin or jigi. It is the opposite of the heavenly gods of Takamagahara. A god who lived in Ashihara no Nakatsukuni. According to the Ryō no Gige, it lists Omiwa, Oyamato, Katsuragi, Kamo of Yamashiro Province, and Izumo no Onamuchi no Kami.
