Coup

Japanese: クーデタ
Coup
Also known as a coup d'état. An illegal transfer of power by sudden military force. Unlike a revolution, it is usually a power struggle within the same ruling class, and often ends with a change in the person in charge of government. In modern times, it is particularly common in countries where the military forms the political ruling class.
