In the 31st year of the Suiko era (623), he returned to China with an envoy from Silla, and suggested that those studying in China should return home early, and that Great Tang was a rare country with legal rules and regulations, so people should visit it regularly. He went to China again in the 2nd year of Jomei (630) and the 5th year of Hakuchi (654). His rank when he went to China in the 2nd year of Jomei was Dainichi (equivalent to Shogoi), but when he returned to China in the 1st year of Saimei (655), he was Oyamashita (equivalent to Jurokui), and it is thought that he may have been demoted for some reason.
