'Abd al‐Razzāq al‐Samarqandī

Timurid diplomat and historian. Also known as Abd al-Razzaq. Born in Herat. He first served Shah Rukh and was sent as an envoy to the Vijayanagar Empire in southern India in 1441-44, leaving detailed records of his visit. In 46 he visited Gilan in Iran as an envoy. After Shah Rukh's death, he served Abu al-Qasim Babur and others, and then Abu Said. In 62 he was appointed head of the Shah Rukh Khanqa (monastery) in Herat, where he died.

ティムール朝の外交官，歴史家。アブドゥル･ラッザークともよばれる。ヘラート生れ。初めシャー･ルフに仕え，1441‐44年南インドのビジャヤナガル王国に使節として派遣され，詳細な記録を残す。46年には使節としてイランのギーラーンを訪れる。シャー･ルフの没後アブー･アルカーシム･バーブルらに仕えた後，アブー･サイードに仕えた。62年，ヘラートのシャー･ルフ･ハーンカー(修道場)の長に任じられ，そこで没す。
