For example, the lotus of Kannon Bodhisattva, the shakujo ( sacred staff) of Jizo Bodhisattva, the sword of Acala, and the bow and arrow of Aizen Myo-o . 〘名〙① 二枚または、数枚からなる文書が続いていることを証拠だてるため、各紙のとじ目やつぎ目などに押す印。また、発行原簿と発行書類との両方にまたがらせて押したりするものにもいう。割り印。※民法施行法(明治三一年)(1898)六条「証書が数紙より成れる場合に於ては前項に掲げたる印章を以て毎紙の綴目又は継目に契印を為すことを要す」② (「げいいん」とも) 仏語。真言密教などで、諸仏諸菩薩(ぼさつ)の内心を表わす標識として設定する、特定の所持物、三昧耶形(さんまやぎょう)。観世音菩薩の蓮華、地蔵菩薩の錫杖(しゃくじょう)、不動明王の剣、愛染明王の弓箭(きゅうせん)など。広義には、手印も含む。〔菩提心論〕③ 護摩壇(ごまだん)上に諸尊の三昧耶形を描いたもの。また、火天の内心の標識とする三昧耶形を護摩炉の炉底に泥で作ったり描いたりしたもの。
