Kipchaq Khanate - Kipchaq Khan (English spelling) Qipchaq Khān
A nomadic state that was established when the territory in the Irtysh River basin that Genghis Khan gave to his eldest son, Jochi, expanded and developed westward (Figure). 1243-1502. It was called "Ulūs-i Jūchi" (Jūchi's Ulus), and Russians called it the Zolotaya Orda, the Golden Lantern Khanate. Its territory stretched from the Irtysh River basin in the east to the Dniester River in the west, from the Bulgars in the north to the Caucasus and the middle Syr Darya in the south, and Rus' (Russia) became a vassal state and paid tribute.
