Japanese: クアンナム朝 - クアンナムちょう

The Nguyen dynasty, whose capital was in Hue in central Vietnam (Guangnan) from the 16th to 18th centuries. It is also written as the Guangnan dynasty. In 1558, Nguyen Hoang, a powerful official of the northern Le dynasty, lost a political battle with the Trinh dynasty and moved south, stationed himself in Hue, and prospered by having trade with Japan, Portugal, and the Netherlands. Japanese towns were also established in the port towns of Fay Pho and Tu Lan. Since 1628, they fought and defeated the Trinh dynasty, advanced south to subjugate Champa, and seized the Mekong Delta from Cambodia, but were defeated by Tay Son Nguyen in 1777 (Tay Son Party Revolution).

16～18世紀に中部ベトナム(広南)のフエに都したグエン(阮)氏の王朝。広南朝とも書く。1558年，北部レ(黎)朝の権臣グエン･ホアン(阮潢)はチン(鄭)氏との政争に敗れて南下し，フエに駐して実質的に独立し，日本，ポルトガル，オランダと通交して栄えた。港町フェイフォ，トゥーランには日本人町もできた。1628年以来，チン氏と戦って退けるとともに，南進してチャンパを服属させ，さらにカンボジアからメコン･デルタを奪ったが，1777年タイソン･グエン(西山阮)氏に敗れて滅亡した(タイソン党革命)。
