Minusinsk (English spelling)
A city in the Krasnoyarsk region of Eastern Siberia, central-eastern Russia. It is a river port city located on the right bank of the upper reaches of the Yenisei River, about 280 km south-southwest of Krasnoyarsk. It is located in the Minusinsk Basin, an agricultural region in southern Eastern Siberia, and has a well-developed agricultural product processing industry (meat and flour milling). Other industries include wood processing and sewing. It was founded in the mid-18th century and became a city in 1822. In the 1970s, it formed the Sayan Industrial Complex with Abakan, Chernogorsk, and others, and has been developing ever since. Abakan is on the opposite bank of the Yenisei River, and a railway line connects Abakan to Tayshet and a highway connects Abakan to Kizil pass through the city. Population: 74,200 (1991 estimate).

ロシア中東部,東シベリア,クラスノヤルスク地方の都市。クラスノヤルスクの南南西約 280km,エニセイ川上流部右岸に位置する河港都市。東シベリア南部の農業地帯ミヌシンスク盆地にあり,農産物加工業 (食肉,製粉) が発達。ほかに木材加工,縫製などの工業がある。 18世紀中頃に始り,1822年市となった。 1970年代に入ってアバカン,チェルノゴルスクなどとともにサヤン産業コンプレックス (複合体) を形成し,発展をとげている。エニセイ川をはさんで対岸にアバカンがあり,アバカンとタイシェトを結ぶ鉄道,アバカンとクイズイルを結ぶハイウェーが通る。人口7万 4200 (1991推計) 。
