Kim Dong-in
Korean novelist. While studying in Tokyo, he published the literary coterie magazine "Creation" (1919), in which he published "The Sorrow of the Weak." After that, he was conscious of his senior, Lee Kwang-soo, and regarded Lee's literature as an example of Enlightenment, aiming for pure literature, and wrote works of various tendencies, including "Boat Song," "Flogging," "Sweet Potatoes," and "Red Mountain." He also excelled in critiques and essays, including "Thoughts on Modern Korean Novels," "Studies on the Spring Garden," and "A Thirty-Year History of the Literary World."
