1548‐1631 A scholar from the Yi Dynasty of Korea. His pen name was Kiyuan and his pen name was Sakei. He was from Gwangsan. He was a student of Song Ik-pil and Yi Yul-gok, and together with his son Kim Ji, he is considered a master of rites studies. He was recommended for appointment through his studies and played an active role in procuring military rice during the invasions of Japan and the Later Jin Dynasty, but in his later years he devoted himself to education in his hometown, producing students such as Song Si-yeol and Song Jun-gil, who became the mainstream of the Giho school. His works include "Jiran of the Family Ceremonies," which compiles the theories of various schools on Zhu Xi's "family ceremonies," and "Kinshiroku Shaikui." His posthumous name was Munyuan.
