Laws for the Imperial Court and the Nobles

Japanese: 禁中並公家諸法度 - きんちゅうならびにくげしょはっと

A law from the Edo period. Drafted by Konchiin Suden. Formal name: "Kinchukata Gojomoku." Issued in July, 1615. It was a direct restriction imposed by the Edo Shogunate on the Imperial Court and the nobles, and consists of 17 articles on topics such as the Emperor's duties, the seating and appointment/removal of the Sekke and the three nobles, changes of era names, punishments, and the official ranks of monks below the head priest. 江戸時代の法令。金地院崇伝起草。正称「禁中方御条目」。元和元年（一六一五）七月発布。江戸幕府が朝廷や公家に対して直接的に規制を図ったもので、天皇の本分、摂家・三公の席次や任免、改元、刑罰、門跡以下僧侶の官位など一七条から成る。幕末まで改訂されなかった。公家諸法度。※御当家令条‐二・禁中并公家諸法度・慶長二〇年（1615）七月「禁中并公家諸法度」
