Hassna culture - Hassna culture

Japanese: ハッスナ文化 - ハッスナぶんか
Hassna culture - Hassna culture
One of the Neolithic cultures in Mesopotamia. The Hassuna site in northern Iraq is used as the standard. It was an early agricultural culture, a step further from the Jarmo period, in which round or square mud-brick houses were built, with hearths and storage pits inside. Agricultural tools such as mallet-shaped stone hoes were distinctive. They also hunted and raised livestock, and painted pottery and inscribed pottery can be found. The culture is estimated to date to the middle of the 6th millennium BC.
