Metals are materials that have the properties of metals and are used for practical purposes. They make up a large proportion of the materials used by humans. Looking around us, we can see that various metallic materials such as steel and aluminum alloys are used in large quantities, sharing roles with organic polymer materials, ceramic materials, glass, wood, concrete, etc.
