Revolution in the narrow sense refers to a large-scale social change resulting from fundamental changes in political power and social systems, i.e., a political revolution, whereas revolution in the broad sense refers to a relatively rapid, widespread, and fundamental change occurring in each field of social life or in the whole. For example, there is the religious revolution, which was brought about by various sects that sought to create a new religious order by proposing new doctrines in opposition to the dominant established churches, the industrial revolution, which expanded the factory system based on mechanical power, the sexual revolution, which liberated sex from the ethic of asceticism and promoted the liberation of women, and the cultural revolution, which brought about a fundamental change in the basic values ​​that support the social order and the individual self.
