The ninth emperor of the Northern Song Dynasty, China. Reigned 1125-27. His given name was Zhao Huan. He was the eldest son of Emperor Huizong. He was forced to abdicate by his father when the capital, Kaifeng, was under attack by the Jin army. He was unable to gather the opinions of his courtiers, who were divided between those who favored war and those who favored peace, and in 1126 (the first year of the Jingkang era), Kaifeng fell in the second Jin attack. He was captured by the Jin army and abducted by the Jin together with the retired emperor Huizong, his empress, and other members of the imperial family, and interned in Wuguocheng (Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province). Even after the peace treaty between the Song and Jin was concluded in 42 (the 12th year of the Shaoxing era), he was not forgiven, and he died after 30 years in exile.

中国，北宋第9代皇帝。在位1125‐27年。姓名は趙桓（ちようかん）。徽宗（きそう）の長男。首都開封が金軍の攻撃をうけようとした時，父から譲位せられた。主戦･主和に分かれた廷臣の意見を拾収することができず，1126年(靖康1)，金の第2回攻撃で開封は陥落，金軍に捕らえられ，上皇徽宗･后妃･皇族らとともに金に拉致され，五国城(黒竜江省依蘭県)に抑留された。42年(紹興12)宋･金の和議成立後も許されず，配流30年で没した。
