Annular eclipse

During a solar eclipse, the apparent diameter of the moon is smaller than that of the sun, so it cannot completely hide the light ball, and the edge of the moon appears as a thin golden ring. This can be seen when the distance from the earth to the moon is relatively far, or when the distance from the sun is relatively close, so that the umbra does not reach the earth's surface. 日食の際，月の視直径が太陽より小さいため光球を隠しきれず，縁の部分が細い金の環になって残って見えるものをいう。地球から月までの距離が比較的遠くなったり，太陽の距離が比較的近くなったりして，本影が地表まで届かない場合に見られる。
