[Development of cooperative distributed systems]
A cooperative distributed system is a system in which a group of software (called agents) that can make decisions and act independently works in cooperation with each other. It is a flexible system in which the group of agents can organize themselves and change themselves if necessary, and has developed through the following three stages. (1) Cooperative distributed systems as a design theory This is the case when a system with the same functions can be realized as a centralized system, but the nature of the application makes it better to decentralize it.

[協調分散システムの発展]
　協調分散システムは，独立に判断し行動するソフトウェア(エージェントと呼ぶ)群が協調して動作するシステムである。必要があれば，エージェント群が自ら組織を作り，自ら変える柔軟なシステムであり，以下の3段階を経て発展してきた。(1)設計論としての協調分散システム　同じ機能を持つシステムを集中システムとして実現することもできるが，応用の性質から分散化したほうがよいという場合である。
