King of Lydia (r. 685-657 BC). He killed King Candaeus, married his wife, and founded the Mermnad dynasty. He attacked Miletus, Smyrna, and Colophon, and made offerings at Delphi. He allied with the Assyrian king Ashurbanipal against the Cimmerians, but lost Assyria's support when he helped an Egyptian revolt and was killed by the invading Cimmerians. リュディア王 (在位前 685頃～657頃) 。カンダウオス王を殺し，その妃と結婚してメルムナド朝を開いた。ミレトス，スミルナ，コロフォンを攻撃，デルフォイに供物を捧げた。キンメリ人に対抗してアッシリア王アッシュールバニパルと同盟したが，エジプトの反乱を助けたためアッシリアの支援を失い，侵入したキンメリ人に殺された。
