Anatolia

Japanese: アナトリア
Anatolia
In ancient times, it was called Asia Minor. In Turkish, it is called Anadulu. A peninsula in western Asia, surrounded by the Black Sea, the Aegean Sea, and the Mediterranean Sea. It faces the Balkan Peninsula across the Sea of Marmara. It occupies most of present-day Turkey. It is a plateau with the Kuzey-Anadolu (Pontus) Mountains to the north and the Taurus Mountains to the south. The coast has a Mediterranean climate, while the inland has little rain and is covered with grasslands and deserts. Its main products are grains, fruits, sheep, chromium, copper, etc. Anatolia has a long history and is said to be the oldest place in the world to use ironware. The Hittite Empire was established around 2000 BC. After passing through the Roman Empire and other areas, Turks began to migrate there around the 11th century, and it has been a Turkish settlement ever since. It was a stage for East-West negotiations connecting Europe and Asia, and with the Bosphorus and Dardanelles straits, it still occupies a very important strategic position today.
