Willis illusion

...Hearing loss is conductive, and hearing tests show a large loss of air conduction hearing, but bone conduction hearing is normal or only slightly reduced. In the early stages, patients may experience paracusia Willisiana, in which loud voices are difficult to hear in quiet places, but can be heard well in noisy places. Medication is not an option, and surgical treatment (stapes surgery) is the only option.
