A leader of a peasant revolt in the late Ming Dynasty of China. A peasant from Fugu (Shaanxi Province). When a great famine occurred in northern Shaanxi from the 7th year of Tianqi (1627) to the 1st year of Chongzhen (1628), he and his fellow starving people robbed food from wealthy households, and when he tried to be arrested by the authorities, he finally rebelled in Fugu County, which marked the beginning of the great rebellion at the end of the Ming Dynasty. In March of the same year, the rebel army led by him crossed the Yellow River and advanced to the Pingyang area, operating from Hequ in Shanxi as a base, but the following year he was attacked by government troops and killed by his subordinates' betrayal.

中国，明末の農民反乱の指導者。府谷 (陝西省) 出身の農民。天啓7 (1627) 年から崇禎1 (28) 年にかけて陝西北部に大飢饉が発生したとき，彼は仲間の飢民とともに富家の食糧の略奪を行い，官憲に逮捕されようとして，ついに府谷県に拠って叛し，明末の大反乱の発端を開いた。同3年3月彼を首領とする反乱軍は黄河を渡り，山西の河曲を拠点に活動し平陽一帯に進出したが，翌年政府軍の攻撃を受け，部下の裏切りにあって殺された。
