Year of death: September 15, 1632 (October 28, 1632) Year of birth: Tensho 1 (1573) A feudal lord in the early Edo period. Lord of Toba Domain in Shima Province (Mie Prefecture). His father was Yoshitaka and his mother was the daughter of Hara Munetada, born in Toba. He was originally named Tomotaka and then Mitsutaka. In 1597 (Keicho 2), he inherited the family headship, and in 1598 he became Nagato no Kami. In the Battle of Sekigahara (1600), despite his father Yoshitaka having sided with Ishida Mitsunari, he joined the Eastern Army, and was awarded over 55,000 koku after the battle. He led the Kuki Navy in the Siege of Osaka (1614 and 15), and transported stone materials from Kumano for the construction of Sunpu Castle and Edo Castle.
