Family: Angelfish

...Until recently, the scientific name of this species was C. collare , but this was due to confusion with other species. The Angelfish family, which was until recently included as a subfamily of the Butterflyfish family, is very closely related and can be distinguished by the backward-facing spines on the lower edge of the gill cover. They are also beautiful coral reef fish, and include species such as the Emperor Angelfish and the Southern Angelfish, whose colors and markings are completely different at the developmental stages of juvenile, juvenile, and adult fishes.
