...Population: 5,224 (1995). Most of the area is made up of mountains such as Mt. Nembutsu (382m), Mt. Yawata (215m), and Mt. Kiro (308m). Near the summit of Mt. Yawata is the huge Tengu Rock, and pottery from the Yayoi period has been excavated from the surrounding area.
