Japanese: アトサヌプリ - あとさぬぷり

A volcano located near Kawayu Onsen in Teshikaga Town under the jurisdiction of the Kushiro Regional Subprefectural Bureau in eastern Hokkaido. It is also called Mount Iozan. Atosanupuri means "naked mountain" in Ainu. It is 508 meters above sea level. It is one of the Atosanupuri volcanoes that erupted within the Kussharo Caldera. On the mountainside, there is an explosion crater called Kuma Otoshi, and at the summit, a lava dome can be seen in the outer rim of the mountain, which is made of pyroxene andesite. It is part of Akan Mashu National Park, and the foothills are home to numerous fumaroles and large colonies of alpine plants such as Rhododendron isotrichum and Pumila dwarf pine.

北海道東部、釧路(くしろ)総合振興局管内の弟子屈町(てしかがちょう)、川湯(かわゆ)温泉付近にある火山。硫黄山(いおうざん)ともいう。アトサヌプリはアイヌ語で「裸の山」の意。標高508メートル。屈斜路カルデラ内に噴出したアトサヌプリ火山群の一つで、山腹には熊(くま)落としとよばれる爆発火口、山頂部には輝石安山岩で構成された外輪山のなかに溶岩円頂丘がみられる。阿寒摩周(あかんましゅう)国立公園の一部で、山麓(さんろく)は多数の噴気孔とイソツツジ、ハイマツなど高山植物の大群落がみられる。
