Ukebayashi - Ukebayashi

Japanese: 受け囃子 - うけばやし
Ukebayashi - Ukebayashi

…The term “hayashi” is now often used in the narrow sense.
[vaudeville]
Yose-bayashi can be divided into five types: (1) bayashi related to show customs, (2) entrance bayashi, (3) ukebayashi, (4) hamemono, and (5) iromono bayashi. (1) is performed as part of daily events at yose, and is largely based on the customs of kabuki theaters, such as the first drum when the doors open, the second drum (chikuto) that announces that the performers have already entered the dressing room, and the uchidashi at the end of the show.
