Ritual - Giri

...In a sense, Aristotle's theoretical analysis and Zeami's reflections on his own practice of Noh have something in common. Zeami teaches that the method of Yamato Sarugaku established by his father Kannami is based on "monomane" (imitation of words and actions) and "giri" (logical, logical use of words), and aims to realize "yugen no fūtai" (a graceful and elegant stage appearance). Furthermore, Zeami's definition of "good Noh" attracts attention for its universal consideration of dramaturgy.
