Incoordination - Incoordination

[Cerebellar Damage and Disease]
Animals with partial cerebellar damage and patients with cerebellar disorders show a variety of characteristic symptoms. In order to move, many muscles must work together and many parts of the body must be coordinated, but when the cerebellum is damaged, this coordination is lost and movements become clumsy (dyscoordination). In addition, predictive movements, such as touching the tip of the nose with the index finger while closing the eyes, become less certain (abnormal size).
