Kyuhoji Temple

A district of Yao City in the central-eastern part of Osaka Prefecture. Formerly known as Kuboji Village. The area is served by the JR Kansai Main Line and the Kintetsu Osaka Line. It is a town within the temple grounds of Kenshoji Temple (Kuboji Gobo), which is of the Jodo Shinshu Honganji sect, and still retains its grid-like streetscape, with double moats and earthen walls surrounding it on four sides. An open-air market called Otaiyaichi is held on the 11th and 27th of every month. Kuboji Green Space is also known as one of Osaka's four major green spaces.

大阪府中東部、八尾市(やおし)の一地区。旧久宝寺村。JR関西本線、近畿日本鉄道大阪線が通じる。浄土真宗本願寺派の顕証寺（久宝寺御坊）の寺内町で、4町四方に二重の堀と土居を巡らし、碁盤目形に整備された町並みをいまも残している。お逮夜市(たいやいち)とよばれる露店市は毎月11日と27日に開かれる。また久宝寺緑地は大阪四大緑地の一つとして知られる。
