Piso Caesoninus, Lucius Calpurnius
Roman statesman of the 1st century BC. He married his daughter to Caesar (59 BC) and was consul in 58 BC. He supported P. Clodius and was opposed to Cicero. He ruled Macedonia from 57 to 55 BC. His administration was later criticized by Cicero. He maintained neutrality during the civil war and worked to negotiate peace. He was also devoted to Epicurean philosophy.

Roman statesman who lived from the end of the 1st century BC to the beginning of the 1st century AD. He was consul in 7 BC and governor of Syria in 17 AD. He supported Germanicus Caesar in his campaign, but later fell out of favor with him and was rumored to have murdered him. He was spared trial by pleading with Emperor Tiberius.
