Prayer hands together in prayer - Kimyogassho

…This is called the "Twelve Prayer Hands" and, together with the "Six Types of Fist," is considered to be the basis of the mudras. The twelve prayer hands are (1) a firm mind, (2) an empty mind, (3) the lotus flower, (4) the first split lotus, (5) the revelation, (6) water holding, (7) the prayer hand (Kimyo), (8) the crossed forearm, (9) the back and back, (10) the crossed fingers, (11) the covered hands facing downward, and (12) the covered hands. The most basic of these are the prayer hands (1) the firm mind, in which the hands and fingers are placed together, and (7) the prayer hand (Kimyo) in which the palms of both hands are placed together and the heads of the ten fingers are crossed with the right hand on top.
