Matsunaga Japanese style

The stage name of a Nagauta singer. The first (? -1808) was originally Matsunaga Chugoro. The third (1839-1916) was active with his beautiful voice. He gained popularity by adopting the Kiyomoto-bushi style of storytelling. The fourth (1874-1962) was also active with his beautiful voice and unique melody. 長唄唄方の芸名。初世〔？-1808〕はもと松永忠五郎。３世〔1839-1916〕は美声をもって活躍。清元節の語り口をとり入れて人気を呼んだ。４世〔1874-1962〕も美声の上に独自の節まわしを工夫して活躍。３世は和楓と書いた（一時４世も）。
