...This is a celebratory song sung in the entire Miyagi Prefecture, Ichinoseki and Mizusawa areas of Iwate Prefecture, northern Fukushima Prefecture and Aizu, and Yonezawa areas of Yamagata Prefecture, all of which were formerly part of the Sendai Domain. In the Sendai region, it is also called the "Kimigayo," and at the beginning of a celebratory party, everyone sits upright and claps their hands solemnly, singing the following three poems (a set of three scrolls). In the Yonezawa and Aizu regions, it is a set of two scrolls....
