Kibi no Otokimi

...A powerful clan leader in the late 5th century. Dates of birth and death unknown. Also known as Kibi Kamitsumichi Tasa. In the Nihon Shoki, the 7th year of the Yūryaku era, Emperor Yūryaku heard Tasa boast about his wife Wakahime at court, so he appointed Tasa as Mimana kokushi and took her away. Upon learning of this, Tasa left Mimana and entered Silla. Yūryaku ordered Tasa's son, Otokimi, to attack Silla, but Otokimi remained in Baekje. Tasa sent an envoy to Otokimi to join him in opposing Yūryaku, but they were unsuccessful. There is confusion in the descriptions of Otokimi, so the exact details are unclear.

…5世紀後半の豪族。生没年不詳。吉備上道（かみつみち）田狭ともいう。《日本書紀》雄略7年是歳条に宮廷で田狭が妻の稚媛（わかひめ）を自慢するのを聞いた雄略天皇は，田狭を任那国司に任じ稚媛を奪ったとある。それを知った田狭は任那を離れて新羅に入る。雄略は田狭の子の弟君らに命じて新羅を討とうとするが，弟君は百済にとどまった。田狭は弟君に使を送りともに雄略に対抗しようとするが果たせなかった。弟君に関する記述に混乱があり，正確なことは不明である。…
