In the Nihon Shoki, the 7th year of the Yūryaku era, Emperor Yūryaku heard Tasa boast about his wife Wakahime at court, so he appointed Tasa as Mimana kokushi and took her away. Upon learning of this, Tasa left Mimana and entered Silla. Yūryaku ordered Tasa's son, Otokimi, to attack Silla, but Otokimi remained in Baekje. Tasa sent an envoy to Otokimi to join him in opposing Yūryaku, but they were unsuccessful.
