…It is found in the East China Sea and south of central Honshu, and lives in shallow coastal areas on sandy and muddy bottoms up to several tens of meters deep. It has many local names throughout the country, such as Mushima, Obaba, Sakabishaku, Nushimajoro, Ginu, Sakambo, and Kanko. In some areas, it is called Ushi or Ushinbo, because it has a pair of powerful spines on the back of its head, which resemble the horns of a cow. …
