A warm current that flows eastward in the Gulf of Guinea off the west coast of Africa. When it flows southward from the Gulf of Guinea with great force, it creates a clear tidal boundary with the Benguela Current, which flows northward, and can cause thick sea fog and abnormal precipitation.
