...The diary of Chunagon Fujiwara no Tsunetoshi (1214-76), who was a Junior Second Rank Middle Counselor. It is also known by the names Kikkouki and Kikreiki. It is the diary of an aristocrat from the mid-Kamakura period, from 1237 (Kasei 3) to 1276 (Kenji 2).

…なお江戸時代には同家に，甘露寺，葉室，万里小路（までのこうじ），清閑寺，中御門（なかみかど），坊城，芝山，池尻，梅小路，岡崎，穂波，堤の諸家を加えた13家を総称して勧修寺家ともいい，当時の名家の過半を占めた。また勧修寺一門の廷臣は，為房の《大記》をはじめ，経房の《吉記》，経俊の《吉黄記》，経長の《吉続記》など，重要な日記を多く残しており，その記述は実務官僚としての一門の性格をよく反映している。現在京都大学文学部に蔵する〈勧修寺家文書記録〉には，為房の自筆日記をはじめ，近世に至る貴重な文書や記録を収めているが，経房，資経，経俊，定資，経顕の各遺領処分状には，合わせて20ヵ所前後の所領が載せられている。…
