Born on July 6, 1621. Grandson of Yoshikawa Hiroie. Lord of Iwakuni Castle in Suo (Yamaguchi Prefecture). Devoted himself to the reclamation of the mouth of the Iwakuni River, the development of copper mines, and the rise of the paper industry. He built a storehouse in Nakanoshima, Osaka, and expanded sales channels, among other things, to promote the economy. In the first year of the Enpo era, he built the Kintai Bridge.
