...It is located in Bakuro-cho, Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto City. The deity is Sugawara no Michizane, and in the co-shrines are Chujo-dono (Michizane's eldest son, Takami) and Kissho-jo (Michizane's wife to the north). Michizane died in Dazaifu in 903 (Engi 3), and in 905, Ajizake Yasuyuki built a shrine at his grave by divine revelation. This is Dazaifu Tenmangu. In 942 (Tenkei 5), Tajihi no Ayako of Ukyo Shichijo Nibou enshrined Michizane near her home by divine revelation (currently Tenjin-cho, Shimogyo-ku, Ayako Tenmangu). In 947 (Tenryaku 1), Taromaru, the son of Miwa no Yoshitane, received a revelation, and with the efforts of Saichin, a monk of Kitano Asahi-ji Temple, a shrine was built in the same year at the horse field of Ukon'efu in Kitano. ...

…京都市上京区馬喰町に鎮座。祭神は菅原道真，相殿には中将殿(道真の長子，高視)，吉祥女(道真の北の方)をまつる。道真は903年(延喜3)に大宰府で没し，905年に味酒安行が神託によって墓地に神殿を造立した。これが太宰府天満宮である。942年(天慶5)，右京七条二坊の多治比文子（たじひのあやこ）が神託によって自宅の辺に道真をまつったという(現，下京区天神町，文子天満宮)。947年(天暦1)，神良種（みわのよしたね）の子，太郎丸に託宣があり，北野朝日寺の僧最珍の尽力があって，同年，北野の右近衛府の馬場の地に神殿を造立した。…
