Born October 29, 1902. Younger brother of sculptor Hashimoto Heihachi. He started the Surrealist movement with Nishiwaki Junzaburo and Takiguchi Shuzo, and in 1935 founded the poetry magazine "VOU." He continued to be active as a modernist poet even after the war. He passed away June 6, 1978. He was 75 years old. He was from Mie Prefecture and graduated from Chuo University. His real name was Hashimoto Kenkichi. His poetry collections include "White Album," "Fire Violets," and "Midday Lemons."
