Mimic - Mimic

Japanese: 擬態者 - ぎたいしゃ
Mimic - Mimic

[Significant mimicry]
This is a type of mimicry that benefits from intentionally conspicuous behavior, and can be further divided into three types: Batesian mimicry, Müllerian mimicry, and aggressive mimicry. Batesian mimicry is a type of mimicry in which an animal that is not naturally unpleasant tastes avoids predators by mimicking only the appearance of another animal (model) that has a bad taste or is poisonous. The animal that imitates is called a mimic. Batesian mimicry is particularly common in insects, such as the female female kabuto moth that mimics a poisonous brown butterfly, the long-tailed swallowtail butterfly and the false swallowtail butterfly that mimic a poisonous musk swallowtail, the cockroach family of Southeast Asia that moves around during the day mimicking a ladybug that exudes bad-tasting juice, and the grasshopper moth and long-horned beetle that resemble bees with poisonous stingers.
