Outfitting work - Outfitting work

...A general term for the equipment and facilities required for a ship to function as such. It can also refer to the work required to equip the ship with these (outfitting work). However, the outer shell of the ship, which floats on the water and functions as a container for cargo, is called the hull, and is usually distinguished from the outfitting.
