Otori Gosha Myojin Shrine

...The date of its founding is unknown, but according to the shrine's legend, a swan flew away from the spot where Emperor Yamato Takeru was buried, and the shrine was built on the spot where it landed for the last time. In the Engishiki, it is listed as a Myojin Taisha, and together with the four shrines Otori Minamihi Shrine, Otori Kitahama Shrine, Otori Hama Shrine, and Otori Ise Shrine, it is also called Otori Gosha Myojin. It is also known as the Ichinomiya of Izumi Province, and was listed as a Kanpei Taisha in 1871 (Meiji 4).
