Originally, it was written as drought (雃 is the god of drought). Natural disasters include those that bring destructive damage in a short period of time, such as storms and tornadoes, and those that cause damage due to long-term abnormal weather, such as droughts, lasting from one month to several months. Droughts, also called droughts, were a major cause of agricultural disasters, but in recent years, agricultural damage in Japan has decreased due to the development of water irrigation facilities, and it has even become said that ``there is no poor harvest in a drought.'' On the other hand, as the population increases, the problem of shortages of drinking and industrial water has become more serious, and it is now often called ``katsusui.''
