〘 noun 〙 A respiratory organ found in the larvae, pupae, and occasionally adults of aquatic insects. It is a protrusion of the epidermis that can be leaf-shaped, pouch-shaped, or thread-shaped and is often found on the abdomen or tail. In insects with tracheal gills, the spiracles have degenerated. 〘名〙 水生昆虫の幼虫、さなぎ、まれに成虫にみられる呼吸器官。表皮の突起物で、形は葉状、ふくろ状、糸状などがあり腹部や尾部に多くみられる。気管鰓のある昆虫では気門は退化している。きかんさい。
